Welcome to the website of Legion Scotland – Kirkcaldy and District:
We're a small but active branch (a registered charity) with strong roots in the local community. We’re always looking for new members who can help us grow and shape our future. You don’t need to have served in the Armed Forces to join. Everyone, of any background, is welcome to get involved. We are not affiliated to any political party, religious groups or fraternal organisations. We do however, work closely with Military Associations and Charities, as well as other Kirkcaldy support groups.
The major Towns in our District are - Kirkcaldy, Dysart, Kinghorn, Burntisland and Auchtertool. However, we accept members from others areas and do our best to support any bordering Towns and beyond.
What We Do:
We’re here to make a meaningful difference to the lives of veterans, members, and our local community. Our welfare, comradeship and befriending initiatives help people feel supported, valued, and connected.
We also keep remembrance at the heart of Kirkcaldy, honouring those who have served and those who continue to serve. Especially, at annual Armistice and Remembrance Sunday events. That may include support to Poppyscotland (who are a separate charity) for the annual poppy appeal.
We assist other local Military Charities and Associations organise and deliver activities in support of our combined aims. This may also include assistance in organising funerals of ex-servicemen and women.
Where we can't assist directly, we may be able to guide or signpost to other appropriate services...
